Family Christmas Fayre 2021
What a blessing it was to be able to put on a very festive Christmas Fayre at the Oak Tree Centre! After missing out on the opportunity last year because of Covid, it was obvious how happy the church community – as well as friends, family and locals, were to get together once again.
From warming welcomes by festive clad volunteers, to an abundance of tasty and pretty goods on offer from stallholders, there was no shortage of Christmas spirit all around. It was a great opportunity to catch up with each other and reach out to visiting faces (some of which were painted beautifully).
We raised over £1000, which will go towards phase 2 of the Oak Tree Centre development. A massive thank you to Roger Goodship for organising the event and to one and all who helped before, on and after the day to make it such a great success!
Family Christmas Fayre 2019
Our annual Christmas Fayre was our biggest yet, with record numbers attending – 567 people! The Fayre was officially opened by the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Cllr Sam Crooks. We had visitors from all over Milton Keynes, who enjoyed browsing and shopping at the many local craft and gift stalls in the beautifully decorated main hall. There were delicious homemade cakes, festive food and refreshments available to savour throughout the afternoon, plus a BBQ providing hot food. The beautiful Winter Wonderland was the residence of our special guest – Santa himself, who was visited in his Grotto by lots of children; each receiving a Christmas present. The Arts One choir entertained us with beautifully sung carols and the children were kept entertained with exciting games, crafts and a treasure hunt trail. The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was positively joyous and a wonderful start to the festive season!
