Transformers

Our fellowship is blessed with many children of all ages.

We have a crèche on Sunday mornings, and provide a full range of classes through “Transformers”, our Junior Church (see below).  We also run parent and children’s groups during the week; Acorns for children aged 2 – 4 years, and Little Acorns, for children 2 years and under.  You can find more information about both of these groups on the Acorns Children’s Group page.

TRANSFORMERS for Younger Children

Transformers, our Sunday morning children’s work is led by Eileen who, along with the rest of the Transformers Team, brings experience, enthusiasm and insight into how children learn and grow in their walk with God.

Transformers takes place during Sunday morning service 2 (11:15am – 12:45pm) and is aimed towards 3 to 11 year olds.  A team of skilled and trained children’s workers deliver high-energy sessions for all the children, which include; worship, teaching, games, arts, crafts, prayer and plenty of fun!  The children are then divided into smaller groups to access age adjusted discussions and activities:

Bubbles – age 3, 4 and Reception
Splash – School years 1, 2 & 3
Xtream – School years 4, 5 and 6

If you are visiting for the first time and would like to keep siblings together, or are unsure of which group your child/children should be in, please talk to one of our Reception team on arrival.

Child Protection Safeguarding Policy

We follow the latest Home Office safeguarding code of practice, and adopt the guidelines and procedures published by the Baptist Union of Great Britain in its latest safeguarding policy. As part of this, everyone who works with our children and young people must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Claire Monkcom and Etienne Deysel are our Children and Young Persons’ Advocates. Children and young people involved in our activities are told that they can go to them with any concerns they have about the way any adult is treating them.
